The musicians in Concordia's percussion ensemble have earned a reputation as one of the most outstanding percussion groups in the Upper Midwest.

The ensemble has been featured several times on Minnesota Public Radio, been selected eight times to perform at the Minnesota Music Educators Convention and has appeared at the Music Educators National Convention. They perform a wide variety of works from standard percussion repertoire to new arrangements of popular, classical and folk music.

Dr. David Eyler, professor, directs both the Percussion Ensemble and the Marimba Choir and has served as director of percussion studies since 1987. He earned his degrees from Louisiana State University, Ohio State University and Frostburg State University and attended the Peabody Conservatory of Music.
