Man rescued after vehicle plunges into Lake Darling in central Minnesota
A 53-year-old man was rescued from his vehicle that was partially submerged in Lake Darling Monday afternoon.
The man apparently suffered a diabetic reaction, blacked out and drove into the lake off the access at Arrowwood Resort, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
Arrowwood staff and deputies pulled the man from the vehicle and North Ambulance transported him to the Douglas County Hospital. His name was not released.
The incident happened at about 2:47 p.m.
A and A Towing pulled the vehicle out of the lake.
No damage was reported to the Arrowwood property.
Responding units included the sheriff's office, Douglas County Water Patrol, State Patrol, North Ambulance and A and A Towing.
