It's the longest running golf competition outside of the metro area in Minnesota, drawing top amateur golfers from throughout the country.

They're vying for titles in seven different divisions - men's, women's, executive men's, senior men's, juniors ages 10 to 12, juniors ages 13 to 15 and masters for the more "seasoned" golfers.

The public is encouraged to stop by the course and take in the drama and excitement as the championship fields continue to narrow to the best of the best. Champions in all seven divisions will be determined Saturday.

You can also keep up with the action by checking the website, www.echopress .com. A complete wrap-up of the tournament will also be printed in next Wednesday's Sports section.
