Lori Callaway, 48, Alexandria, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014, after a long battle with cancer.
Lori Peterson was born April 15, 1966 in Savanna, Illinois, the daughter of Janis Peterson and William Whalen.
Lori was united in marriage to James Shore in 1988. The couple was blessed with one child, Vanessa. Lori later married Scott Callaway in 2002. They were blessed with two children, Bridgit and Sean.
She is survived by her husband, Scott Callaway of Alexandria; children, Vanessa Shore of Vancouver, WA, Bridgit Callaway and Sean Callaway of Alexandria; mother, Janis Martin of Savanna, IL; aunts, Joan Cinnamon and husband, Oliver, Delores Peterson, and Carolsue Bielma; mother- and father-in-law, Jane and Alan Callaway; sisters-in-law, Dawn Goodnough and husband, Lance, and Leslie Nicholson; and several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by a son, Andrew Callaway (Seans twin); grandparents, James and Mildred Peterson; father, William Whalen; stepfather, Arthur Martin; and many other family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, July 18 at Church of St. Mary in Alexandria with the Rev. Father Steve Binsfeld as celebrant. Casket bearers included Lance Goodnough, Alexander Goodnough, Alan Callaway, Bob Ollinger, Tye Perkins and Levi Callaway.
