Local chef featured on public TV Sunday
Pioneer Public Television will feature Prairie Sportsman's Curt Anderson of Evansville in Cookin' with Curt, a cooking special that will air Sunday, March 18 at 7 p.m.
Anderson will also be live in the Pioneer studio March 18 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Anderson lives on a farm outside of Evansville with his wife, Bernie, and their three children, Evan, Adam and Kris. He is an active outdoors person and also has a strong connection with the Boy Scouts.
Anderson is the executive Chef at Arrowwood in Alexandria.
"It's pretty cool to be able to bring a cooking special featuring Curt. As one of the best talents I've ever worked with, he continues to impress our crew with his ability to prepare any type of wild game. That's one of the reasons he's been such an integral part of Prairie Sportsman for years and a fan favorite. This idea has been in the works for awhile and has allowed Curt to return to Pioneer with many more unique and interesting recipes," executive producer Tim Bakken said.
Bakken added that if the program is well received, there's a possibility of expanding the show to create a regularly scheduled locally produced cooking show.
