Local band to march in Rosefest Parade
The Alexandria High School Marching Band will be among 11 bands competing for prizes, including best percussion, color guard and winds, at the annual Rose Parade on Monday, June 30 at 6:15 p.m. in Roseville.
With 90 units, the Rose Parade is one of the biggest in the state. The parade begins on County Road B2 in Roseville. It runs east to Lexington Avenue, north to County Road C then west on Civic Center Drive.
The parade is part of the annual Rosefest, a community celebration for the city of Roseville. This year’s festival runs Thursday, June 26 to Monday, June 30 and Friday, July 4.
Rosefest activities include Run for the Roses, Roll for the Roses Inline Race, free concerts, golf, sports competitions and other activities. The festival concludes with a Fourth of July celebration at Central Park and fireworks over Lake Bennett.
