LEC names all-conference team

Both Parkers Prairie and Brandon-Evansville had three players named to the Little Eight Conference’s All-Conference Team in girls’ basketball for the 2014 season.

From Brandon-Evansville, Emily Friedrich, Megan Kokett and Elizabeth Vinson were named all-conference for their performances this season. Carrigan Okerlund was also named all-conference honorable mention.

Parkers Prairie’s Micaela Noga, Sarah Bunde and Kathryn Burquest were named to the all-conference team. Anna Guenther was named all-conference honorable mention.

Ashby also received some recognition in the Little Eight Conference. Cassandra Jordan and Madison VanSanten were named all-conference while Abbigail Ras was named all-conference honorable mention.

Micaela Noga was named the conference’s Most Valuable Player in 2014 while her father and Parkers Prairie head coach John Noga was named Coach of the Year.

Parkers Prairie finished first in the Little Eight Conference this season with an 11-1 record, followed by Battle Lake and Brandon-Evansville in a second place tie at 9-3.
