Learn the ins and outs of residential leases
In today’s market, whether you’re a landlord or tenant, residential leasing can be more complex than just signing a lease and paying rent.
“Minnesota Landlord and Tenant Law: A Guide to Residential Leasing” will teach tenants what to look for in a lease before signing and teach landlords what to include in the lease before entrusting the property to strangers.
The class will walk participants through the Minnesota Standard Resid- ential Lease, discuss terms commonly found in leases and review examples of “bad” leases.
The purpose of a residential lease is to protect both landlord and tenant from negative behavior of the other.
Instructed by local attorney Andrew Wiener, this class is Thursday, December 5 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Jefferson High School in Alexandria.
Cost is $15. Check the full listing of class offerings and register online at www.alexandria.thatscommunityed.com or call Community Education at (320) 762-3310.
