Leadership training offered in Alexandria
Whether you are a native Alexandrian or new to the lakes area, Leadership Alexandria could be the training tool for you.
Leadership Alexandria is a 10-session program consisting of an integrated series of classes, designed to build leadership skills and awareness of community issues.
The program offers many different perspectives on issues of critical concern. This process takes place through a series of panel discussions, lectures, group discussions, tours and open dialogue among class members and area leaders.
The 2010-11 year of Leadership Alexandria will be an opportunity to learn about yourself, team building leadership skills, the history surrounding the lakes area, economic growth, local organizations, education trends, important issues facing local government, and opportunities to become involved in community projects.
To those company leaders who are seeking both community and skill based leadership training for their employees, this is an opportunity to discover the resources available in Alexandria.
For more information or to register, contact the Chamber at (320) 763-3161 for a brochure highlighting the details and curriculum for this year's session. The cost for the leadership course is $650 for Chamber members and $800 for non-members. There may be partial scholarships available for non-profit organizations or individuals who could otherwise not attend.
The deadline to register for the 2010-11 class is September 9.
