Lakeland Hospice Foundation gears up for annual motorcycle ride
Bring a motorcycle and get ready for the 11th annual Lakeland Hospice Ride, set for Saturday, September 8.
Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. at the south Minnesota Motor parking lot in Fergus Falls. The ride leaves at noon sharp. It is a free-will donation with all proceeds going to support the Lakeland Hospice Foundation, which raises dollars to help support hospice care in local communities.
Riders will travel about 120 miles through the lakes country, with two planned stops along the way. The ride will end at 5 p.m. at the Ashby Legion with a free-will pork loin supper.
At 6:30 p.m., the Lakeland Hospice Foundation will raffle off a 2012 Harley Heritage, valued at more than $17,000. Tickets are $20 each and give an opportunity to win two $500 and 10 $100 cash prizes. Only 2,500 tickets are sold.
