KSAX-TV improves UHF signal

KSAX-TV in Alexandria is expanding and improving its over the air signal.

Starting April 23, KSAX will offer the following channels:

• KSTP-TV in high definition. This is the ABC affiliate based out of the Twin Cities.

• KSTC-TV, an independent, non-network station known as 45TV, offering a variety of programming, including high school sports.

• Memorable Entertainment or ME-TV, which includes popular syndicated shows from the past, such as The Rockford Files, Bonanza and The Andy Griffith Show.

The station has been working on the fiber optic improvements for several months, working with a local vendor, Vaultas, according to Ed Smith, KSTP director of engineering.

The new programming is available on UHF digital channels 42-1, 42-2 and 42-3. UHF viewers in the area should re-scan their TVs to make sure they'll receive the channels.
