Kokett named Cards outstanding dancer

Graduating senior Alexis Kokett was named the Outstanding Cardinal Dancer award recipient for her efforts on the Alexandria dance team this winter season.

 Other team awards for the 2013-2014 season went to Brooke Rinicker as  Most Improved, Laura Timm as Most Spirited and Abbie Biegner as the Coaches Award recipient.

The Cardinals had three CLC all-conference award winners and four honorable mention recipients this season. Kokett was the lone jazz all-conference recipient, while Emily Haan and Samantha Winther were named all-conference in kick. Kenzie Stark received an all-conference honorable mention award in both jazz and kick, Winther was named honorable mention in jazz and Kokett was handed honorable mention in kick.

The Cardinals also had a strong season in the classroom, as they earned a Team Academic Excellence Award for having a GPA of 3.5.

Graduating seniors from the team are Kokett, Haan, Stark, Shelby Steidl and Winther.
