Kensington Area Heritage Society to host History With Eleanor Day
The Kensington Area Heritage Society will host its third annual History With Eleanor Day on Saturday, February 26 at the Community Center in Kensington. The doors will open and exhibits will be available at 10:30 a.m. Lunch is served at noon followed by sharing memories in the afternoon.
The theme of this year's event is to highlight the contributions by Duane Sprouls (1928-2006) to the community. A special exhibit will portray Sprouls' involvement with Lions International, Our Lady of the Runestone Catholic Church and the village government, serving as mayor from 1997 to 2006.
Cost for the luncheon, catered by the Kensington Café, is $10 per person. Payment must be received by February 15. No refunds will be given. The menu includes meatballs, mashed potatoes and gravy, glazed carrots, bread, dessert and coffee.
