Just a Jaunt’s $500 passport winner announced
Each year, the five businesses that make up Just a Jaunt give away a basket of products valued at $500. Judy Kluver is the third recipient of the Just a Jaunt passport basket and is the first local winner.
The recipient is selected from customers who have submitted a completed Just a Jaunt passport during the past year.
Passports are available at each of the Just a Jaunt locations: Carlos Creek Winery, Minnesota Lakes Maritime Museum and Tastefully Simple in Alexandria and Panther Distillery and Crooked Willow in Osakis.
The passports are stamped at each business visited. A passport may be completed in a day, week, month or over years and does not require any purchase.
Just a Jaunt was the brainchild of Terri Anderson of Crooked Willow back in 2009.
“I wanted to spread the word to local tourists as well as bus groups that we have these wonderful businesses that give great tours,” Anderson explained.
Because Kluver is a local, this was the first year that the products didn’t have to be shipped by mail.
“We were so excited to have a local winner,” said Carlos Creek Winery owner Tami Bredeson. “This is the first year we were able to assemble everything in a basket – actually two baskets because it wouldn’t fit in one – and meet the recipient.”
