JHS students learn by doing
Jefferson High School (JHS) students finished their last week in class with some hands-on activities.
Students in the culinary arts class had a "Chopped" championship. They were given ingredients and had to make a meal out of them.
Students in the relationships and family class worked on community extension activities including garbage pick-up around the JHS block and visiting with residents at Knute Nelson. Those who helped with the garbage pick-up included Mariah Franksen, TieAnna Schneider, teacher Tanya Jensen, Katya O'Brien, Emily Oberg, Nikki Johnson and Maggie Kragenbring.
