The season kicked off with the band marching in the annual Memorial Day Parade in Alexandria, followed by a week-long camp to learn the 2010 production of Segue, this summer's musical production.

On June 19, the band marched in the Owatonna and Zumbrota parades, which featured the premiere bands in the state. In Owatonna, Alexandria received 3rd place in the largest class and 3rd place overall out of a field of 13 bands. In Zumbrota, Alexandria received 2nd place in the largest class and 2nd place overall out of a field of 12 bands.

The band traveled to Fridley on June 24 to march in the 49'er Days Parade. Alexandria was awarded the overall top score out of a field of eight bands and the grand championship for the parade.

On June 26, the band traveled to Willmar to march in the Grande Day Parade. The Willmar parade did not offer a band competition and bands were not judged. That evening back home the band hosted the Root Beer Float Concert with the Notteroy School Band from Norway. The concert was held in the JHS gym to a packed house.

Alexandria hosted the Vikingland Band Festival Parade on June 27. Twenty-two bands from Minnesota plus the Notteroy Band performed on Broadway. After the parade, the band performed for the Knute Nelson and Nelson Gables residents.

On the 4th of July, the band marched in the St. Joseph and Apple Valley parades. At Apple Valley, Alexandria was awarded outstanding marching unit.
