JHS Harvest Ball goes back to the ‘50s
The Jefferson High School (JHS) Jazz presents the fifth annual JHS Harvest Ball on Friday, November 15 from 7 to 10 p.m. at the JHS gymnasium. Everyone is welcome.
The event features performances by the JHS Jazz I and Jazz II groups under the direction of Todd Blaser and Greg DeGier, as well as Doc’s All Stars. There will also be performances by an alumni jazz group and a high school combo jazz group.
The theme for the evening is 1950s, in honor of the first year JHS was open – 1959. Attendees are encouraged to wear period clothing; prizes will be awarded to best period dress.
Root beer floats and other treats will be served.
The event is a fundraiser for the District 206 high school and middle school jazz programs. It is organized by the Band Boosters Club.
Tickets are $5 in advance or $8 at the door. Student tickets are $5. Tickets may be purchased at Elden’s Fresh Foods, Pete’s County Market, and the JHS band office. Activity cards will not be accepted at this event.
