Items needed for Habitat Warehouse Sale Saturday
The public is invited to Habitat for Humanity's second Warehouse Sale of the year.
The goal of this event is to assist Habitat for Humanity of Douglas County by reselling goods and donated merchandise to raise funds to assist in building affordable Habitat homes.
The sale will take place Saturday, August 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1605 Melvina Lane Southwest, Alexandria.
The public may donate high quality items for resale. Donated items must be approved first by calling Dave Anderson at (320) 846-2013 by Thursday, August 12.
Items accepted for resale at this time include: lawn and garden tools and equipment (no chemicals), sporting goods, furniture, appliance, tools (old and new), building supplies, lumber in good condition, and plumbing and electrical materials.
Directions to HFH Warehouse: From Tastefully Simple, proceed south on County Road 45. At the first intersection go left on Latoka Drive, and then immediately right on West Winona Drive. Turn left on Melvina Road and follow the sign to The Greens. Continue on Melvina Road; it jogs to the left. The Habitat building is the second building on the left (right before the entrance to The Greens). It's light tan in color with a white door.
