Representative Mary Ellen Otremba (D-Long Prairie) will co-host the public meetings.

Previous town hall meetings have been well attended and the legislators say it's helpful to have public input as they make their way through the current legislative session. Everyone is welcome to attend, and the lawmakers will take questions on proposed legislation and the state budget.

"We enjoy speaking face to face with local folks and our neighbors to get a real grassroots feel of what's on people's minds," Ingebrigtsen said. "Area citizens seem to appreciate the chance to talk about what is most important to them; it doesn't matter how large or small the issue is."

If you are unable to attend any of the town meetings below or would like to discuss legislative issues, call Senator Ingebrigtsen at (651) 297-8063 or e-mail sen.bill.ingebrigtsen@senate.mn.

The town hall meeting schedule is as follows:

•Staples, 8-9 a.m., Lakewood Health Systems.

•Clarissa, 9:45-10:45 a.m., Senior Center.

•Long Prairie, 11:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m., City Hall.

•Grey Eagle, 1-2 p.m., City Hall.

•Carlos, 3-4 p.m., Herby's Bar Grill and Café.

Ingebrigtsen encourages and appreciates constituent input, and can be reached at (651) 297-8063, by mail at 123 State Office Building, 100 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., St. Paul, MN 55155, or via e-mail at sen.bill.ingebrigtsen@senate.mn.
