Ingebrigtsen earns conservation award
The Nature Conservancy in Minnesota recently presented its 2012 Government Relations Awards to state and local leaders for their work on priority conservation issues.
Senator Bill Ingebrigtsen (R-Alexandria) was recognized for championing legislation that reflected recommendations of the Lessard-Sams Outdoor Heritage Council (LSOHC).
As chair of the Environment and Natural Resources Committee in the Minnesota Senate, Ingebrigtsen helped ensure the Outdoor Heritage Fund was used only for projects that protect, enhance or restore fish and wildlife habitat as required under the Minnesota Constitution.
The Nature Conservancy is a leading conservation organization working around the world to protect land and water.
