I-94 lane to shut down between Alexandria, Garfield
Motorists on eastbound Interstate 94 between Garfield and Alexandria will encounter intermittent daytime lane closures starting this week, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT).
The right lane and shoulder will close during daytime hours near the Lake Latoka rest area so CapX2020 crews can access land adjacent to I-94 to construct transmission line foundations and install structures.
Eastbound traffic will reduce to one lane while work is in progress. Construction traffic will enter the work zone through the rest area.
Work near Lake Latoka is expected to last through the fall.
