House on Latoka Beach Road catches fire (w/video)

Alexandria firefighters responded to a house fire near Lake Latoka this morning, Sunday.

A house at 3232 Latoka Beach Road caught fire at about 10:45 a.m. An occupant was able to get out of the house.

When firefighters arrived, they saw smoke coming from the house, which faces the lake and is about a quarter mile from the Lake Latoka Beach.

Firefighters vented the building and set up a fan to clear the smoke. They also extinguished a small brush fire that started near the house.

North Ambulance also responded.
