The Honky-Tonk Stardust Cowboys specialize in traditional, classic country music. With their name taken from the 1971 Lefty Frizzell song, they “play the country tunes of bygone days.”

The band is one of the few in central Minnesota performing traditional country music in the spirit and sound of the original recordings.

Their song list includes hits from artists such as Loretta Lynn, Rosanne Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, Tanya Tucker and more, as well as a number of early rock and roll songs.

The Honky-Tonk Stardust Cowboys include area musicians, including Cassie Wiesner, vocals; Kurt Rodman, guitar; Kimber Wolfe, bass; Tony Ray, Drums.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. In the event of inclement weather, listen to KXRA 1490 AM for cancellation information.

The Red Willow Arts Coalition is a nonprofit organization with a mission to provide the community with access to more musical experiences.

These activities are funded in part by a grant from the Lake Region Arts Council with McKnight Foundation funding.

The series sponsors are Anderson Funeral Home and Elden’s Fresh Foods. The nightly sponsor is the Echo Press.
