The Alexandria football team will once again highlight a fun-filled homecoming week for Jefferson High School (JHS) next week.

The homecoming events will kick off this Sunday with the powder puff volleyball game at 3 p.m. That will be followed by the powder puff football game at 6 p.m. at Citizens Field. The Homecoming Royalty Coronation will be in the Jefferson gymnasium on Monday at 1:30 p.m.

The 3rd annual Hall of Fame Luncheon at Broadway Ballroom highlights the events on Friday. A pep fest in the high school gym will follow at 1:30 p.m.

All of that leads up to a homecoming community parade that begins at noon Saturday, with a community pep rally following on the front lawn at JHS. From there, it is on to kickoff at 3 p.m. when the Cardinals will try to take care of business against the Bemidji Lumberjacks at Citizens Field.

The game will feature a halftime presentation of high school royalty and a number of alumni football players. On the field, the Cards hope to have the same kind of results as last year's game, when they had a dramatic late-game comeback to beat Rocori 29-19.
