Hoffman recognized as Minnesota GreenStep City for sustainability efforts
Muriel Krusemark, a member of the University of Minnesota, Morris Center for Small Towns (CST) advisory committee and a member of the Hoffman Economic Development Administration, has helped Hoffman become a Minnesota GreenStep City.
The Minnesota GreenStep program challenges, assists, and recognizes the 67 participating cities leading sustainability efforts across the state of Minnesota.
Krusemark serves as the Minnesota GreenStep program coordinator for Hoffman and has helped the city implement a best practices plan that focuses on cost saving, energy-use reduction and encourages innovations by fellow citizens.
The CST is a community outreach program that serves as a point of entry to the resources of the University of Minnesota. Its mission is to focus the University’s attention and marshal its resources toward assisting Minnesota’s small towns with locally identified issues.
