More than 250 people attended the Brandon History Center's Chili Cook-Off that took place last Friday at the Brandon Auditorium. Organizers of the event were pleased with the turnout and said the event was "very successful."

Twelve teams participated in the fundraising event with Gardonville Telephone winning Judge's Choice for best chili. Members of the Gardonville team included (left to right) Barb Gimble, Donna Guetter, Mary Lee Korkowski and Gabby the Beaver.

The Brandon Lions Club won the People's Choice award for best chili and the Brandon Public School was the Theme Award winner. Their display featured handprints of kindergartners and carried a theme of "Hands down best chili in town."

All proceeds will go to the Brandon Auditorium restoration project.
