The newspaper received several calls Friday about a man carrying a cross in downtown Alexandria. They wondered who he was and some guessed it was a promotion for the Passion Drama.

As it turned out, the man is Ronald Dupuis with The Cross Comeback Jesus Ministry in Hewitt. He said he's been carrying the cross - made of hollow wood by a pastor - in parades and towns throughout the region for the past four years.

"Jesus is coming back," Dupuis said. "I'm just telling Christians to keep their faith."
