The Parkers Prairie Lions Club will celebrate its 50th anniversary on Saturday, October 5 at 5 p.m. at the Prairie Event Center in Parkers Prairie. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m.
Heart O’ Lakes Harmony Men’s Chorus will provide the entertainment for the evening.
The Heart O’ Lakes Harmony Men’s Chorus is an a capella chorus of 40 strong that has been performing in this area for many years.
With a four-part harmony, it will perform songs such as Ain’t Misbehavin’ and It Had To Be You from the prohibition era and Piano Roll Blues and Tin Roof Café from the deep south.
The Chorus recently presented a “Happy Days Reunion” with the Fonz, Richie Cunningham and others from the TV series. It also performed “Honky Tonk Harmony” last year in Detroit Lakes and Fergus Falls.
