'Haunt Me a House' to air Sunday

Lakes Area Theatre (LAT) in Alexandria is offering the following productions this week:

ON STAGE

Join LAT for another Sable Jak Phil Byrnes Mystery episode, The Treasure in the Piano on Friday, July 19 at 7 p.m. Reprising their roles are Mary Pohl as Philomena Byrnes and Jim Thoreen as Detective Coleman. Other cast members include Zachary Blashack, Karen Gladen and Rexford Sweetwater. Mike Roers is the director.

When Phil and her sister Rose seek to reclaim their grandmother's piano, Tom locks them up as he searches for what he claims is a large treasure hidden in the piano. Phil's sidekick, Buzzy, gets concerned when he doesn't hear from Phil and initiates Coleman in a hunt for the ladies.

ON THE AIR

Haunt Me a House delivers a one-two punch of comedy and a bit of suspense. Down and out realtor Larry has one last chance to sell a property before he quits the business. But is the house haunted? Why do prospective buyers back out of their deals?

Directed by Mike Roers, the show stars Jon Provance, Kathy Ray, Tim Ray, Irene Pratt and Ben Klipfel, with music by Bob Piotrowski and sound effects by Ben Klipfel and Tim Ray. Tune in Sunday, July 21 at 12:30 p.m. on KXRA 1490 for the performance. For information call (320) 808-3841.
