Habitat for Humanity announces new board members
Habitat for Humanity of Douglas County (HFHDC) president Jan Finazzo reports the election of two new board members: Nick Heydt and Jeff Montgomery.
The board also elected officers: Finazzo, president; Irene Vagle, vice-president; Joyce Moe, treasurer; Marie Anderson, secretary. Other board members include Chad Coauette, Julie Critz, Tim Cullen, Mark Deterding, Steve Hellermann and Lynndene Way.
Kevin Kopischke, president, Alexandria Technical and Community College, installed the new directors and officers at their organizational meeting held on July 23.
The board of directors is the governing body and sets policy for the local affiliate, including development, building site selection, partner family selection and support, volunteer coordination, church and public relations, home construction and mortgage servicing.
"We continue to be blessed by the quality and commitment of our board of directors, and the outstanding leadership they show," said Lori Anderson, HFHDC executive director. "The vision they set for our organization has been instrumental in our growth to serve more families now and into the future."
