Guest yoga instructor to teach workshops
On Saturday, October 27, YOGAjoy will offer two workshops with guest instructor James Miller at the Grand Arbor Nelson Wellness Center in Alexandria. The workshops include "Silence is Symmetry" from 8 to 10 a.m. and "Working Your Edge" from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
Miller believes that yoga can improve anyone's quality of life, regardless of age or prior condition. His passion for yoga and desire to help people feel better through movement create the right classroom conditions for the growth and transformation of his students. His classes are open to all levels.
As a former U.S. Marine, veteran personal trainer and licensed massage therapist, he has practiced yoga as his primary discipline for the past 15 years. The physical, mental and emotional transformations that Miller has experienced compel him to share what he has learned with others.
A contemporary yogi, Miller is aware of the unique challenges presented by today's culture. His work attempts to integrate the needs of the present with the wisdom of the ancient traditions.
In his role as yoga educator, Miller has brought the message of yoga to thousands of students. He has personally trained and certified more than 350 teachers.
