Government should stop illegal actions
To the editor:
Our federal government should stop stealing the rights that belong to the states, in violation of the law of the land as found in the 10th Amendment: “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.”
Our federal government should stop using the federal income tax, and replace (reform only makes it worse) the 70,000 pages of rules and regulations and all of those deductions, exemptions and loopholes, with The FairTax, which proposes to eliminate the federal income tax and the IRS and enact a consumption-national sales tax.
An informed citizenry, we, the people, has it within its power to right the wrongs, eliminate destructive legislation and return our faltering country to the exceptionalism it once knew.
Sir Edmund Burke wrote: “All that’s necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”
I can’t do everything, nor can you, but what we can do, by the grace of our loving and provident God, let’s do.
