Todd Gongwer, author of the book LEAD...for God's Sake!, will be in Alexandria for two events. The public is welcome to attend both events.
Gongwer will give a seminar entitled "Lead, for God's Sake, the Pursuit of Your Best in Leadership" on Thursday, August 8 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Broadway Ballroom. On Friday, August 9, he will speak at the monthly Unity Foundation Lunch and Learn from noon to 1 p.m. at Grand Arbor. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door.
A husband and father, Gongwer has spent nearly 20 years developing his expertise in leadership, team and cultural dynamics through a broad range of experiences spanning the world of business and athletics.
He has held a number of senior executive level positions in companies ranging from entrepreneurial start-up to public entity. He also served for more than a decade as an assistant college basketball coach during the 1990s.
After spending five years in a senior executive level position overseeing the leadership and cultural transformation of a large manufacturing firm, Gongwer wrote and released LEAD...for God's Sake!, a parable for finding the heart of leadership.
He began speaking to groups on the topic of peace, passion and purpose in leadership. Ultimately, he challenges his listeners to think deeper about the subject of leadership and what lies at the core of their purpose in leadership and life.
