Golf Etc. plans to open store in Alexandria
Golf Etc. of America, Inc. plans to open a store in Alexandria.
The company has not yet finalized a location for the store. It is projected to open next spring.
Golf Etc. is currently the fastest growing golf retail franchise in America, with more new store openings in the U.S. during 2007, 2008 and thus far in 2009.
Golf Etc.'s mission is to offer golf enthusiasts a welcome alternative to "big box" sporting goods stores.
"We are excited to bring our personalized service and consultative approach to the golfers in Alexandria," said Jeremy Glanzer, president and CEO of Golf Etc.
Specializing in performance fitting of equipment, Golf Etc. uses state-of-the-art launch monitor technology operated by trained club fitters to understand the unique characteristics of each individual's swing. Then, the customer's swing is matched to specific golf equipment.
"Our comprehensive golf pro shops go beyond golf products to also specialize in performance club fittings and full service repairs," said Glanzer. "If a golfer is looking to take some strokes off their game, they need to be playing the right equipment that fits their unique swing."
Golf Etc. also offers a simulator and putting green with the latest technology to provide customers with year-round training and practice facilities, allowing local golfers to keep up with their game even when it's too hot, too cold or raining.
