Girl Scouts earn Gold Award
Girl Scout Troop 546 recently received the Gold Award, the highest award given in Girl Scouts. To earn the honor, troops must complete a project that meets the standard set by the Gold Award Committee. Troop 546's project was to make and distribute sensory boxes, which contain items that stimulate smell, touch, sight and hearing for people with and without special needs. Members of the troop include (left to right) Brittany Chan, Katie Friederichs, troop leader Barb Friederichs, Anne Friederichs, Heather Botner, Chris Hoffman and Stephanie Kaiser.
