There will be six sessions after school at both Voyager and Woodland Elementary schools in Alexandria from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. each day.

Voyager: Mondays, February 4, 11, 25 and March 4, 11, 18.

Woodland: Thursdays, February 7, 14, 21, 28 and March 7, 14.

Together, the girls can learn to earn by running a Girl Scout cookie booth business and setting personal and group goals. They will also learn how to run a business that is honest and fair, how to attract customers and serve them well.

Girls will manage the money earned by the group and make decisions about how to use the proceeds. They will earn Financial Literacy and Cookie Biz Badges as well as personal recognitions based upon the goals met and group proceeds.

A healthy snack and 30 minutes of homework will also be included with each session.

The cost is $54. Scholarships are available through program sponsors and local funders to girls who qualify for the free or reduced National School Lunch Program. Girls may also add $12 to the cost to become a Girl Scout member.

The registration deadline is January 28.
