Wolter is a professional geologist and president of American Petrographic Services who authored the new book The Hooked X: Key to the Secret History of North America, the most recent evidence concerning the authenticity of the Kensington Runestone.

Wolter will discuss his most recent research and discoveries including additional sites and artifacts found in North America, which appear tied to the same group that he believes carved the Kensington Runestone. As a forensic scientist, he will explain his approach to the research and explain his scientific procedures for testing the KRS and other stone artifacts.

Topics include significant geological evidence previously overlooked, the role the Cistercian Templars may have had in the carving of the stone, and their ideology symbolized in the rune letter Wolter calls the "hooked X." He will also discuss other connections to previously dismissed pre-Columbian North American artifacts and sites.

Wolter's previous book, The Kensington Rune Stone, Compelling New Evidence, was co-authored by Scandinavian linguist and runologist Richard Nielsen and published in 2005.

As president of American Petrographic Services, Wolter is responsible for independent testing and analysis in a scientific laboratory. The KRS was taken there for research updating in the year 2000.

Wolter has been the principal petrographer in more than 5,000 investigations throughout the world, including the evaluation of fire damaged concrete at the Pentagon following the attacks on September 11, 2001.

Following the presentation, Wolter will take questions from the audience.
