Geography bee held at St. Mary's
Kyle Krippner (center), a 6th grader at St. Mary's School in Alexandria, won the school-level competition of the National Geographic Bee on January 6, and a chance at a $25,000 college scholarship. The school-level bee, at which students answered oral questions on geography, was the last round before taking a written exam. Devin Roering (left), was second at this competition and Megan Shulstad (right) was third from the field of finalists. Both are also 6th graders.
