Gary Pautz, 70

Gary Walter Pautz was born June 7, 1944 in New Ulm, the son of Walter and Aleda (Fahrenkamp) Pautz.

Gary graduated from Gibbon High School in 1962.

On January 30, 1965, Gary was united in marriage to Kay Dianne Anton at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. To this union two sons were born: Thomas and Douglas.

The couple resided in Northeast Minneapolis for several years and then moved to Maple Grove. In 1991, Gary was transferred to Seattle and they moved there until they retired to the cabin in 2011.

Gary was an active member at the following churches: Gloria Dei in Minneapolis, Light of Christ in Federal Way, WA and Ebenezer in Leaf Valley. He also was a member of the Corvette Club in Tacoma, WA. He loved playing cards, telling stories, giving advice, traveling and spending time with his family and many friends.

Gary and Kay felt blessed that they could share their homes with their neighbors and many guests.

Gary and Kay died on Thursday, July 24, 2014, in Kansas due to an automobile accident.

He is survived by his sons, Tom and wife, Angela of Maple Grove; Doug and wife, Katie of Minneapolis; four grandchildren, Matthew Palmer, Michael and wife, Atanza Palmer, Abigail and Amber Pautz; and sister-in-law, Caroline "Carol" Swanson.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 1 at 11 a.m. at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Leaf Valley Township with visitation one hour prior to the service at church.

Burial will be at Ebenezer Cemetery.
