Free throws costly for B-E boys in loss to Underwood
The Brandon-Evansville boys struggled from the free throw line and it cost them in a 60-50 loss at Underwood on Thursday night. The Chargers went just 10-of-29 from the stripe.
Underwood’s Matt Biegler had a game-high 20 points. A lot of those came on offensive putbacks in the paint. That was enough to move the Rockets to 4-8 and drop the Chargers to 2-13.
“Our undoing came at the free throw line,” head coach John Holsten said. “We played hard the entire time. We just didn’t get it done at the line and on the offensive glass.”
Skyler Quinn had a team-high 18 points and 11 rebounds for Brandon-Evansville. Tom Bosek also added 11 points.
