Free Irish concert in Barrett to join St. Patrick’s Day celebration
The public is invited to a free St. Patrick’s Day Irish music concert featuring Skilly and Duff at West Central Area Schools in Barrett on Monday, March 17 at 7 p.m.
In addition to free admission, there will also be free rides from both ends of the school district, according to Brian Poyzer, spokesman.
Shuttles will leave the Wendell Community Center at 6:15 p.m., with a 6:30 pick-up stop at the Elbow Lake Library.
Shuttles will leave the Kensington Community Center at 6:15 p.m., with a pick-up stop at the Dew Drop Inn in Hoffman at 6:30 p.m.
Poyzer said this is one of the most satisfying musical programs in which he’s been involved.
“The kids are in great form, and we know Skilly and Duff will, as always, bring their own unique approach to laughter and song,” he said.
The program is made possible by a grant from the Lake Region Arts Council, through a Minnesota State Legislature appropriation.
