Update: Police arrest robbery suspect

Free educational health care and financial series offered

A free educational series sponsored by Thrivent Financial and Knute Nelson will prepare and educate participants on relevant health care and financial issues.

Each free educational series is 60 minutes in length and will begin at 6 p.m. at Grand Arbor, 4403 Pioneer Road Southeast, Alexandria.

The following are the dates the classes are available:

September 10 — Identity theft: how to minimize your risk.

October 8 — Beneficiaries process and review: keeping it up-to-date and in the family.

November 14 — The whys of wills, developing your legacy and charitable giving.

December 3 — long term care and estate planning: the essentials.

January 14, 2014 — Market updates.

Each participant will receive relevant handouts intended to be a resource for those attending. The educational series will be facilitated by a Thrivent Financial representative and/or featured special guests with expertise on the topic at hand.

There is no cost to attend. RSVPs are appreciated due to limited space. Desserts and refreshments will be provided.
