Free basic computer and writing skills class offered at ATCC this summer
Through District 206 Community Education, the Alexandria Area Adult Basic Education (ABE) Consortium is partnering with Alexandria Technical and Community College (ATCC) to offer a free Basic Computer and Writing Skills class at ATCC this summer.
Since this course is offered at no cost to the first 20 qualified applicants, early registration is recommended. The registration deadline is June 30.
The class will focus on basic computer skills. Microsoft Office overview will include Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint. It will prepare students for success in ATCC's Intro to Computers class. In addition, basic college writing skills will be covered, preparing students for future college coursework.
Classes will run Mondays through Thursdays beginning July 16 and ending August 9. The course will be held from 9 a.m. to noon.
