The Nighthawks went into the game 5-1 but proved to be no match for the undefeated Wolverines in a 36-0 game. CGB build up much of that lead in the first half as the Wolverines took a 30-0 lead into the break.

Prairie Valley did a better job on both sides of the ball in the second half. The Nighthawks twice had opportunities inside the CGB 20-yard line but couldn't convert against a stingy Wolverines' defense.

Clington-Graceville-Beardsley put up 414 yards rushing. The Nighthawks countered with just 150 yards of total offense. Tyler Schlosser led the rushing attack with 53 of his team's 88 yards on the ground. Logan Riedel was 9-for-19 passing with one interception and Hunter Arnold had four catches, while Luke Mock added two.

Schlosser also led the defense with 17 tackles. Quentin Uran added 11 and Riedel and Derek Meyer had eight and seven tackles, respectively.

The Nighthawks earned the No. 6 seed in the Section 8AA playoffs after their 5-2 regular season. They were scheduled to play at Pelican Rapids (6-2) last night, Tuesday, in the opening round. The winner of that game will play in the section semifinals this Saturday at 2 p.m.
