The section football pairings are set as tournaments kick off all over Minnesota next Tuesday night. 

Every Douglas County team will be on the road looking to pull off an upset against a higher seed. Alexandria (2-6) earned the fifth seed in the 8AAAAA tournament and will travel to Moorhead on Tuesday night. The Spuds are 5-3 with a big win over Bemidji in the regular-season finale after coming just three points shy of knocking off Brainerd in overtime the week before. Alexandria met the Spuds in the season opener this fall and fell by a 28-12 score. The rematch is set for a 7 p.m. kickoff on Tuesday.

Brandon-Evansville in the sixth seed in the Section 4 9-Man playoffs. The Chargers (3-5) will travel to third-seeded Underwood (5-3) on Tuesday. These two teams didn't meet in the regular season. Brandon-Evansville started the season 3-0 but will head into the playoffs on a five-game losing streak after falling 24-20 against Bertha-Hewitt in the regular season finale.

Osakis is the fifth seed in the 6AA playoffs after evening its record at 4-4 with a win over Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunberg in week eight. The Silverstreaks will travel to Pelican Rapids to take on the 5-3 Vikings. Pelican Rapids was on a five-game winning streak before losing 33-7 against Breckenridge on Thursday. The Vikings are averaging 35.6 points per game this season.
