The Chargers put together 332 yards of total offense against the 1-7 Bears. Quarterback Billie Juul was the catalyst of that attack. He had a hand in four touchdowns as he ran for two and passed for two more scores. Jon Thoennes added the final score on a 68-yard run in the fourth quarter.

Juul connected with Craig Campbell on a 26-yard strike and with Will Schroeder on a 74-yard scoring play. Both of those came in the third quarter as Brandon-Evansville pulled away after leading 8-0 at the half.

"Today was a total team effort," head coach Tim Pattrin said. "The boys did their jobs and worked as a team. They handled themselves in the tough environmental conditions and had fun in the mud. Very proud of them."

Thoennes led the rushing attack with 92 yards on just five carries. Zack Henneman added 65 yards on 15 carries, while Juul had the two scores and 25 yards. He added a 5-for-8 passing night with 110 yards and no interceptions.

Campbell led a stingy Brandon-Evansville defense with 15.5 tackles, including 8.5 solo tackles. Cody Lund added 10.5 tackles, while James Huisman added an interception. The Chargers also recovered eight Bertha-Hewitt fumbles on a wet night.

The Chargers finished the regular season 3-5 and earned the seventh seed in the Section 4 9-man tournament. They were scheduled to open up the playoffs at second-seeded Onamia last night, Tuesday.
