Five hundred books donated to Project Bookshelf

More than 500 new books were collected for this year's Project Bookshelf, which was conducted by the Alexandria Area Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) and District 206 Community Education.

Students in the child development program at Alexandria Technical and Community College helped sort donated books by age level. The books were then given to the Alexandria Jaycees for distribution with the food/gift boxes given out through the Jingle Bells program.
