Fire destroys home on Little Osakis Lake

The Osakis Fire Department (OFD) was called to help battle a house fire near Long Prairie on Tuesday.

The fire was reported just before 3 p.m. at 22697 Gate Way Drive, on the east side of Little Osakis Lake in Todd County. The house is owned by the Duffee family.

According to the Long Prairie Fire Chief Jim Kreemer, the house was not occupied and the structure was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived.

The structure was destroyed.
