Fire damages Brandon home early Friday

Fire damaged a home in Brandon early Friday, December 20.

According to the Doulgas County Sheriff's Office, at 4:21 a.m., the fire was reported at 605 Nelson Avenue in Brandon.

Homeowners Donald and Mildred Bitzan were able to escape and there were no injuries reported. Brandon and Garfield fire departments responded to the scene.

The Bitzans' home received minor damage in the fire, according to Sheriff's Office Sergeant Mike Tvrdik.
