Finestra returns to Evansville
Finestra will give a concert on Friday, April 5 at 7 p.m. at the Evansville Art Center, 111 Main Street. The concert is open to the public. Refreshments will be available.
In 2008, the group got together and started playing a combination of swing tunes, Latin jazz and pop/soul music. It has been playing regularly at Carlos Creek Winery and Sixth Avenue Wine and Ale in Alexandria.
Bryan Poyzer of Elbow Lake plays bass. Jay Johnson of Elbow Lake plays keyboards. Wally Warhol plays trumpet, flugelhorn and steel pan drum. Arlyn Swenson of Hoffman plays guitar, drums or bass, depending on what is needed on a given night.
These musicians include professional musicians, high school instructors and members of various groups in the area.
